Day 1:

KAMPALA- ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY-MURCHSION FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Depart Kampala early enough heading out to the North Western Uganda to reach out for Murchison falls National Park with an en-route visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakitoma Nakasongola, on the Gulu-Masindi highway.

While at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will have a guided Rhino trekking adventure to view the existing wild Rhinos in the country. It is also on this walk that you will spot several bird species such as the shoebill stork, alongside other wildlife species. Later you will enjoy an early lunch at the sanctuary before proceeding with your Journey to the park.

Arrive at the park and drive to the top of the falls for a magnificent view of the falls from the top, proceed and cross to the Northern side of the park as you head your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at: Transit Time: 5 to 6 hours

Day 2

GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE

Wake up as early as 6am and go for a morning game drive in search for animals like the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Elephants, Cape Buffalo, Gazelles, Antelopes, Oribi, Jackson Hartebeest, Hyenas, Waterbuck, Bush back, Lions, Side stripped jackal, warthogs among others, Birds like the ground Horn Bill and many more and this is the best time to look out for the wildcats like the Lions, as they come out of their habitat. Get back to the lodge for breakfast and Lunch in the afternoon.

After lunch, have a launch cruise on the Nile river and watch Elephants cooling off, have a clear view of the Nile Crocodile, the hippos, birds like the African darter, Yellow Bill stock, Saddle Bill Stock, Red Bishop and African Fish Eagle in the trees along the banks among others. The sight of the falls falling through a 45 meter gap is breathtaking. Get back to the lodge. In the evening enjoy a sundowner at the lodge then Dinner and overnight at:

Day 3

TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

You will have an early breakfast, check out and exit the park to the far north east of the country reaching out for Kidepo Valley National Park that lies in the semi-rugged Karamoja region bordering Southern Sudan enjoying an en-route lunch.

Arrival will be in the early afternoon and will be followed by check-in and lunch, Relax by the lodge side or you may opt for the evening game drive-Dinner and overnight stay at: Transit Time: 5 to 6 hours

Day 4

GAME DRIVE TO HOT SPRINGS, NARUS VALLEY TOUR AND CULTURAL TOUR

Depart on a morning Game Drive after breakfast to the hot springs via the palm tree lined Kidepo River. Here, search for Ostriches, leopards, buffaloes and tortoises among other animals.

Return to the lodge relax before you enjoy your lunch and Proceed to visit the Lokorkul cultural group and explore the fascinating ancient Karamajong culture, visit homesteads, learn more about their way of living, and listen to the Folklore of this remote tribe. You will then dis embark to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5

KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK- JINJA

After and early breakfast at 6.00am, you will check out of your accommodation and transfer to Jinja via Moroto-kapchorwa with this route giving you beautiful views of the Sipi falls, the hilly kapchorwa region, and the vast rice plantations. Enjoying your lunch en-route. Arrival in Jinja will be in the evening. Followed by check in, Dinner and overnight stay at: Transit Time: 7 to 9 hours

Day 6:

SOURCE OF THE NILE, ITANDA FALLS AND TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel, and head to the beautiful Itanda falls where you will have a guided walk along the falls coupled with folklores attached to these falls from your local guide. You may also be in position to see rafters on these falls, take beautiful pictures and then transfer to the source of the Nile have lunch before riding on a boat to transfer to the source of the River Nile point.

After lunch, you will hoop on an African made boat to the actual source of Africa’s longest river. While on this boat ride, you will be in position to have some beautiful scenic views, spot some rare bird species as well as aquatic life in the waters. When you finally get to the source of the River Nile point you will take pictures at this point listen to the different stories and theories then return to the mainland. You can also visit Mahatma Gandhi Monument and then transfer back to Kampala.
